That said, I started microdosing semaglutide two months ago, and here’s what I’ve learned so far:

I’ve been taking a small amount of semaglutide—well below the standard dose. Even at this low level, I’ve noticed real changes. I haven’t felt the need to increase the dose because the results have been noticeable.

The biggest change? That constant background hunger is gone. My cravings are less intense, and I feel full faster. It’s not like I can’t eat—I just don’t need to eat as much. I also noticed a big drop in my desire for alcohol. My tolerance is lower, and I just don’t crave it as much.
4. I Have to Be More Intentional with Protein
With my appetite reduced, it’s easier to undereat—especially when it comes to protein. I’ve had to be much more deliberate about hitting my daily protein goal. Tracking what I eat has helped a lot to stay on target and support muscle retention and growth.
5. My Body Composition Has Shifted
In two months, I’ve lost 9 pounds of body fat and gained 2 pounds of skeletal muscle. That combination feels great—not just in terms of weight loss, but in strength, energy, and appearance.
6. I’m a Fan—For More Than Just Weight Loss
The more I’ve learned about GLP-1 medications, the more impressed I’ve become. The benefits go beyond just appetite suppression and fat loss. There’s a lot of promising research out there. I’ve become a real advocate—not just for what it’s done for my body, but how it’s helped me take control of my habits in a sustainable way.
